Abdominal LImited
An abdominal ultrasound captures real-time images of most of the body's major organs. It can help diagnose conditions such as abdominal aortic aneurysms, kidney masses, gallstones, pancreatic tumors, liver disease, and obstructions in the common bile duct. It does not include the spleen.
An Abdominal Ultrasound takes 30 minutes and must be performed on a fasting patient. Patients should not eat or drink 6-8 hours before the exam.
